An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Quintun in the 6th minute of play forced Malleo AFC's goalkeeper Conrado Hug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 minutes, Santo Aurre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malleo AFC and the Inter Miami FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Inter Miami FC's Romeo Rivas in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee felt a red card was in order, 31 minutes into the game, when Zacarias Fiz put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Inter Miami FC booed when Malleo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Fiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Romeo Rivas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Hug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Malleo AFC booed when Inter Miami FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Quintun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Malleo AFC's Santo Aurre got a free kick in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Prospero Etxatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter Miami FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Prospero Etxatxu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Hug breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inter Miami FC's Dionisio Duardo got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Celso Madaleno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malleo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter Miami FC the free kick. Conrado Hug took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Rivas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeo Rivas to make the kick off. Prospero Etxatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Conrado Hug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon Guerau kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Dionisio Duardo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Conrado Hug when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Saturnino Figueroa hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Victoriano Gipuzkoa came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Inter Miami FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victoriano Gipuzkoa couldn't finish the play. Inter Miami FC's Dionisio Duardo got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Prospero Etxatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Ramon Guerau notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Inter Miami FC's Maximino Mingo. Maximino Mingo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maximino Mingo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Fertus in the 77th minute of the match. Prospero Etxatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximino Mingo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Aurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conrado Hug was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Romeo Rivas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 84 minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Prospero Etxatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter Miami FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Etxatxu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 90 played minutes Inter Miami FC got a freekick which was hit by Gervasio Quintun. The Malleo AFC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
