In the 15th minute Ezequiel Garin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Mingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dionisio Duardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Garin in the 20th minute of play forced Inter Miami FC's goalkeeper Maximino Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prospero Etxatxu might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hilario Mon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Prospero Etxatxu ran back to his position shaking his head. After 33 played minutes Inter Miami FC got a freekick which was hit by Gervasio Quintun. In the 34th minute, Ezequiel Garin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Francisco Álvarez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Prospero Etxatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. Maximino Mingo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tadeo Illart showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 54 minute of play. Hilario Mon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Etxatxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Francisco Álvarez's zone, Dionisio Duardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Mon came out of the goal and Dionisio Duardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dionisio Duardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Mon having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Prospero Etxatxu made a precise shot to the right of Hilario Mon. C. A. Francisco Álvarez's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Francisco Álvarez's goalkeeper Hilario Mon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the C. A. Francisco Álvarez defense, Dionisio Duardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Mon. The C. A. Francisco Álvarez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Mon should have stopped the shot. Dionisio Duardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Mon having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Prospero Etxatxu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hilario Mon. Inter Miami FC's Prospero Etxatxu suffered a sore thigh after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Baldomiro Lon got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to C. A. Francisco Álvarez getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Baldomiro Lon hit a great ball. In the 88th minute of the match Romeo Rivas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hilario Mon skillfully saved the ball. Dionisio Duardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hilario Mon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dionisio Duardo ran back to his position shaking his head. 98 minutes into the game, Inter Miami FC's Sebastian Estevez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hilario Mon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Inter Miami FC fully deserved thier win.
