In the 16th minute Cirilo Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Tauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Los Olivos were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Uriel Oliverios to strike the kick off in the second half. When Leo Lorien fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cieneguilla AFC's protests and gave Leo Lorien a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes Cieneguilla AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leo Lorien. Lucio Mede hit a great ball. Los Olivos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
