The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Fraco in the 5th minute of play forced Golden FC's goalkeeper Modesto Weather to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Golden FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castex the free kick. After a rather tough play, Golden FC's Epifanio Eudoxio got a free kick in the 18th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Golden FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Fraco came free, but Modesto Weather reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Castex's zone, Natalio Cai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florencio Millrick came out of the goal and Natalio Cai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natalio Cai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Millrick having to interfere. Natalio Cai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florencio Millrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Lohitzun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Epifanio Eudoxio kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Lohitzun made a kick off. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Castex! After 53 minutes of play, Golden FC's Marcelo Lohitzun made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Florencio Millrick was left in no man's land by his defense there! Golden FC's Modesto Weather played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Vincente in the 58th minute of play. When Golden FC's Marcelo Lohitzun in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Castex's goalie prevented a goal. Donato Fraco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rdth minute of the game Marcelo Lohitzun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castex's Florencio Millrick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Florencio Millrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Cai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 played minutes, Castex's Isidro Lesardo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Modesto Weather came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castex reached it. Donato Fraco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Modesto Weather tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castex the free kick. Modesto Weather was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Isidro Lesardo. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Castex's goalkeeper Florencio Millrick, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Marcelo Lohitzun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Batista got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Golden FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Castex had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
