The referee ignored Golden FC's protests and gave Ivan Cordara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th match minute, Golden FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Cordara to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 7 minutes, Flavio Merexildo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Muñiz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Merexildo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 8 minutes of play, Club Muñiz's Carmelo Abancens made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Modesto Weather was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcelo Lohitzun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Quirze having to interfere. Golden FC's Modesto Weather played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Abancens in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Club Muñiz booed when Golden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Guillelmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Lohitzun had several of the Club Muñiz's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Leon Quirze as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Golden FC's Marcelo Lohitzun in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Muñiz's goalie prevented a goal. Blas Deunoro kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Carmelo Abancens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Modesto Weather was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carmelo Abancens was the one to do the kick off. Horacio Cordareo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Modesto Weather made a huge save. Leon Quirze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Lohitzun in the 57th minute of play. Modesto Weather showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Hotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Carmelo Abancens recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Modesto Weather. Carmelo Abancens showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Modesto Weather showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Abancens in the 66th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Enzo Hotz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Muñiz's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Hotz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modesto Weather breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute Enzo Hotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Weather saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Muñiz's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Flavio Merexildo in the 78th minute. Marcelo Lohitzun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Quirze having to interfere. Eduardo Umbruso's late challenge caught a Golden FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Umbruso helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Muñiz's Silverio Lidon got a free kick in the 85th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Hector Santxol could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Modesto Weather however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carmelo Abancens got free with Modesto Weather in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Club Muñiz could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Golden FC throughout the match.
