Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mieszko Latkiewicz started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes COLON got a freekick which was hit by Mieszko Latkiewicz. After a rather tough play, COLON's Arnaldo Sal got a free kick in the 5th minute. Mieszko Latkiewicz scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauricio Elorri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Rogelio Natal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rogelio Natal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Hibai in the 23rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Calzada's Rogelio Natal threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Silvestre Hibai, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. COLON's Rogelio Natal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Opilano in the 27th minute of play. With a little luck, COLON's Rogelio Natal got control of the ball when Orlando Lizer tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute Pascual Opilano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Natal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aureliano Unai charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aureliano Unai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, COLON's Aureliano Unai got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, COLON's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Opilano came free, but Rogelio Natal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, COLON's Arnaldo Sal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arnaldo Sal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of COLON protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arnaldo Sal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of COLON:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Calzada:s goal. 43 minutes into the match, COLON's goalkeeper Rogelio Natal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlando Lizer. After 45 played minutes Calzada got a freekick which was hit by Silverio Olando. In the 47th minute Quique Vacas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Elorri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pascual Opilano to make the kick off. 1-2 became the score in the 53rd minute when Quique Vacas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Silvestre Hibai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rogelio Natal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute of the match, Quique Vacas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mauricio Elorri saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. COLON made a substitution. Edgard Urdaspal replaced Aureliano Unai. Quique Vacas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Elorri having to interfere. Rogelio Natal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximino Gerazan's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After 75 played minutes Calzada got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Opilano. COLON's Adriano Duarte was substituted for Quique Vacas. The supporters of COLON booed when Calzada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Opilano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciro Ticho during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Calzada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Ticho to maneuver through the defense. Mauricio Elorri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, COLON's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Opilano came free, but Rogelio Natal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rogelio Natal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Olando, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. COLON's Adriano Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Calzada supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching COLON's performance. The match ended with a win for COLON.
