In the 44th minute Hermengildo Guilabertus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Sabin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Detroit Lions players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Equino FC were winning 2-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hermengildo Guilabertus to make the kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nemesio Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafino Mogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteve Natal got free with Nemesio Acevedo in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafino Mogel in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nemesio Acevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Nemesio Acevedo managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Equino FC's Serafino Mogel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 89th minute, Alfonso Vitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alejandro Onofre lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 93rd minute, one of Detroit Lions:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Detroit Lions. The referee gave Equino FC a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Serafino Mogel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Detroit Lions's Nemesio Acevedo. 3-5. When the match was over Equino FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Detroit Lions throughout the match.
