The goal made the score 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carmelo Perfecto during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Diana getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Carmelo Perfecto hit a great ball. After 10 played minutes Diana got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Procopio. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Gabriel Jesco managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Richmond's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Jesco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Gaufred breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victoriano Ferran got free with Celso Gaufred in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Victoriano Ferran kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Celso Gaufred. That made the score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Diana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Franco to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelio Osoitz got free with Celso Gaufred in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celso Gaufred showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Osoitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Adolfo Damario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diana's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Victoriano Ferran scored to the left of an out of position Celso Gaufred, making the score, 3-0. 47 minutes into the match, Diana's Urbano Vidal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florentino Alfonso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victoriano Ferran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Conrao in the 51st minute of play forced Diana's goalkeeper Celso Gaufred to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFC Richmond's Carolo Conrao got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Diana's Eustaquio Ireno got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Adolfo Damario came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the AFC Richmond fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Damario couldn't finish the play. Carolo Conrao's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celso Gaufred read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Diana's Celso Gaufred played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Damario in the 57th minute of play. Celso Gaufred stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victoriano Ferran's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Celso Gaufred came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Richmond's Carolo Conrao. But to his dismay, Carolo Conrao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The AFC Richmond fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when AFC Richmond's Victoriano Ferran looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 69th minute, Carolo Conrao left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFC Richmond fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Florentino Alfonso made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Nestor Jokin sent off a good shot on target. Diana's Nestor Jokin got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Vidal in the 82nd minute of play forced AFC Richmond's goalkeeper Florentino Alfonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Gaufred showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Damario, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Diana's Nestor Jokin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florentino Alfonso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Florentino Alfonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Jokin in the 94th minute of the match. After 94 played minutes AFC Richmond got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Osoitz. For all the effort they put into the match, the Diana players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AFC Richmond.
