But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Dantel couldn't finish the play. Marcos Bermudez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobaldo Dantel's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Flavio Pietro's late challenge caught a JUVENTUD DE MADARIAGA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Pietro helped the player get up and apologised. 23 minutes into the game, one of Mainque AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Luciano Tristan walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Marcos Bermudez came out and tried to block the shot, but Aldo Pes slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niceto Remicio to make the kick off. In the 61st minute, Aldo Pes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JUVENTUD DE MADARIAGA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Pes in the 65th minute of play forced Mainque AFC's goalkeeper Marcos Bermudez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Dantel in the 67th minute of play. Marcos Bermudez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Pes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Bermudez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Pes, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Marcelo Cordarrell hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the JUVENTUD DE MADARIAGA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
