In the 7th minute, Venancio Ignazio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, Diana's Carmelo Perfecto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Justo Mero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 9 minutes, Nestor Jokin made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Belgrano C.A.'s Justo Mero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th minute, Isaac Dimas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Jokin in the 14th minute of play forced Belgrano C.A.'s goalkeeper Justo Mero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Belgrano C.A. booed when Diana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Aires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celso Gaufred made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Ignazio in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th match minute, Belgrano C.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Ignazio to maneuver through the defense. When Diana's Nestor Jokin in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Belgrano C.A.'s goalie prevented a goal. If Hernan Eate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. Diana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgrano C.A. the free kick. A collision led to Diana getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Eustaquio Ireno hit a great ball. The Belgrano C.A. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Diana were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hernan Eate made a kick off. Carmelo Perfecto took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Justo Mero. Justo Mero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano C.A.'s zone, Urbano Vidal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Mero came out of the goal and Urbano Vidal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Diana booed when Belgrano C.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Belgrano C.A.'s Justo Mero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Belgrano C.A. from getting a goal against them. In the 73rd match minute, Belgrano C.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Ignazio to maneuver through the defense. After 77 played minutes Diana got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Aires. Diana's Celso Gaufred played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Ignazio in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute Hernan Eate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Gaufred saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes, Diana's Bruno Abascal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Justo Mero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Diana reached it. Nestor Jokin in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Justo Mero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Diana's Celso Gaufred played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Alfonso in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Nestor Jokin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diana's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Jokin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justo Mero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Jokin in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justo Mero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Venancio Ignazio hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Diana played a much better game than Belgrano C.A. and deserved their victory. The Belgrano C.A. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
