Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hilario Hulberto got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of LaGordoneta booed when Humboldt AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Totakoxe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Higinio Beat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LaGordoneta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Higinio Beat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute Hernan Elivareo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Leizarraga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute Natalio Koldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvano Adrio got free with Jorge Leizarraga in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Leizarraga made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Silvano Adrio sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Humboldt AFC's zone, Natalio Koldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Gutierrez came out of the goal and Natalio Koldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hilario Hulberto struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Niceto Gutierrez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LaGordoneta. Jorge Leizarraga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Boni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Hilario Hulberto sped through Humboldt AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Niceto Gutierrez. After 31 played minutes Humboldt AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Bautista. LaGordoneta's Hilario Hulberto got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. LaGordoneta's Jorge Leizarraga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save LaGordoneta from getting a goal against them. After 43 minutes, Mauricio Totakoxe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Humboldt AFC and the LaGordoneta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Mauricio Totakoxe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hilario Hulberto came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the LaGordoneta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilario Hulberto couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the game, Hernan Elivareo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Humboldt AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LaGordoneta the free kick. A collision led to Humboldt AFC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Hernan Elivareo hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernan Elivareo was the one to do the kick off. Godfredo Boni took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Leizarraga. Jorge Leizarraga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 64 minutes into the match, Godfredo Boni notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of LaGordoneta's Jorge Leizarraga. Jorge Leizarraga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Humboldt AFC's Silvano Adrio in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LaGordoneta's goalie prevented a goal. Jorge Leizarraga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Elivareo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. LaGordoneta's Jorge Leizarraga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Elivareo in the 78th minute of play. After 79 minutes, Higinio Beat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LaGordoneta and the Humboldt AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to LaGordoneta getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Higinio Beat hit a great ball. Hernan Elivareo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Leizarraga having to interfere. Humboldt AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of LaGordoneta for a fine match.
