After a rather tough play, Arano's Fabian Matia got a free kick in the 15th minute. A collision led to Arano getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Aldo Kimetz hit a great ball. Conrado Rey might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesar Suero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conrado Rey ran back to his position shaking his head. Arano's Cesar Suero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucho Valdez in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Arano booed when Mercedes AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Quico didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucho Valdez in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesar Suero saved Arano from getting behind. Lucho Valdez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cesar Suero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesar Suero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucho Valdez's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. A collision led to Arano getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. The audience was convinced that Lucho Valdez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesar Suero was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 41st match minute, Mercedes AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Ledesma to maneuver through the defense. Cesar Suero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Rey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucho Valdez in the 47th minute of play forced Arano's goalkeeper Cesar Suero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Arano players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mercedes AFC were winning 0-3.

Lucho Valdez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Cesar Suero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cayetano Gauargi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Kimetz in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute Lucho Valdez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Suero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee showed Aldo Kimetz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd minute, Aldo Kimetz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Eliazar during the 85th minute. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Lucho Valdez sped through Arano's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cesar Suero. When the final whistle sounded Mercedes AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Arano.
