The referee ignored Ferrocarril Escocia's protests and gave Generoso Guzman a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ensenada FC's Benjamin Duarte got a free kick in the 8th minute. The supporters of Ferrocarril Escocia booed when Ensenada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Barea in the 16th minute of play forced Ferrocarril Escocia's goalkeeper Ciriaco Larpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Constantino Daunte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferrocarril Escocia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Cristian Frederico came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Ensenada FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Frederico couldn't finish the play. Ferrocarril Escocia's attentive Constantino Handi managed to snatch the ball when Ernesto Donostia made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. Cristian Frederico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th match minute, Ferrocarril Escocia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaias Firmin to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florentino Santio to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Jesus Quintan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciriaco Larpe. Ferrocarril Escocia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jesus Quintan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After having played for 80 minutes, Constantino Daunte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciriaco Larpe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Barea, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
