Marcos Cavaliere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Ederono, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The supporters of Cerveceros FC booed when Providencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Felipo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Cerveceros FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Pascual Abascal hit a great ball. After 15 minutes, Angel Abel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Providencia and the Cerveceros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bernabe Fernandes hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Cerveceros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Abel came free, but Marcos Cavaliere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carmelo Tello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Amadeo Acevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Cavaliere stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norberto Ederono's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 34 minutes into the game, Cristobal Arlo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cerveceros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Providencia the free kick. Providencia's Gerardo Gaueko took a good shot, in the 35th minute, which hit the crossbar above Marcos Cavaliere's head, and flew over the goal. Cerveceros FC's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Providencia. Nicolas Cordairo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Marcos Cavaliere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bernabe Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Cerveceros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernabe Fernandes couldn't finish the play. Norberto Ederono might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cavaliere. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norberto Ederono ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pascual Abascal to make the kick off. The supporters of Providencia booed when Cerveceros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Abascal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angel Abel was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 54 played minutes Providencia got a freekick which was hit by Angel Abel. After 63 played minutes Providencia got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Claude. Nicolas Cordairo hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. The supporters of Providencia booed when Cerveceros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Maidana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeo Acevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Fernandes in the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Alonzo Fero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Carmelo Tello in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Providencia's Atilano Mazuste. 76 minutes into the game, Alonzo Fero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Amadeo Acevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute, Alonzo Fero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute Alonzo Fero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Providencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Claude to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Providencia's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Fero came free, but Amadeo Acevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernabe Fernandes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeo Acevedo having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cerveceros FC had won after a very even match.
