Spectators: 7287 (Terracing: 5467, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 144) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Eustacio Corderun made the kick off which started today's match. Banfield CBA were furious when Cornelio Ixaka was red carded, 6 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Banfield CBA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fumatta FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 8 minutes, Fumatta FC's Geronimo Federigo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Saverio Sesuldo. When Celso Ihazintu fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Banfield CBA's protests and gave Celso Ihazintu a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Banfield CBA got a freekick which was hit by Celso Ihazintu. Erasmo Eliu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Saverio Sesuldo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Celso Ihazintu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Giro having to interfere. Saverio Sesuldo came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Fumatta FC's Erasmo Eliu. But to his dismay, Erasmo Eliu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Eustacio Corderun might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saverio Sesuldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eustacio Corderun ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Fumatta FC's zone, Celso Ihazintu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florencio Giro came out of the goal and Celso Ihazintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Haroldo Serapio made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Fumatta FC's goalkeeper Florencio Giro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haroldo Serapio. Pablo Pagomari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Florencio Giro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Felix Frutos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saverio Sesuldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Corderun in the 58th minute of play. Eloy Vellito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Sesuldo having to interfere. In the 67th match minute, Banfield CBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Ihazintu to maneuver through the defense. Eustacio Corderun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Sesuldo having to interfere. Felix Frutos struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Saverio Sesuldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fumatta FC. When the referee ended the match the Fumatta FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
