The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Jeronimo Sindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Banfield CBA's zone, Robustiano Enol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saverio Sesuldo came out of the goal and Robustiano Enol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Rossi FC booed when Banfield CBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Valery didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the game, David Evarado lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Hernan Salvator. Saverio Sesuldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Llorenc in the 17th minute of play. Banfield CBA's Saverio Sesuldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Tartalo in the 19th minute of play. Cornelio Ixaka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Salvator having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Breogan in the 23rd minute of play forced Banfield CBA's goalkeeper Saverio Sesuldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Leonides Llorenc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Sesuldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Leonides Llorenc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Saverio Sesuldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

A collision led to Rossi FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Valentin Breogan hit a great ball. In the 58th match minute, Banfield CBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Havier to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Banfield CBA's zone, Albino Dacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saverio Sesuldo came out of the goal and Albino Dacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonides Llorenc's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Saverio Sesuldo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 67 played minutes Rossi FC got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Breogan. Daniel Tartalo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. With a little luck, Banfield CBA's Saverio Sesuldo got control of the ball when Leonides Llorenc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aristides Txema charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aristides Txema the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes Rossi FC got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Txema. Silvio Resto charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonides Llorenc got free with Saverio Sesuldo in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Daniel Tartalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saverio Sesuldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Breogan in the 88th minute. The audience was convinced that David Evarado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Salvator was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. 94 minutes into the match, Banfield CBA's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Tartalo came free, but Saverio Sesuldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Valentin Breogan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Saverio Sesuldo, 2-4. When the match was over Rossi FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Banfield CBA throughout the match.
