Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Evarado to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Banfield CBA's zone, Paulino Panpili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saverio Sesuldo came out of the goal and Paulino Panpili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the game, Felix Ladio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Talapampa FC's Alonzo Columbo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Saverio Sesuldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dór Midas, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. When Haroldo Serapio came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Banfield CBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Serapio couldn't finish the play. Talapampa FC's Seyit Tanbey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Talapampa FC from getting a goal against them. After 77 minutes, Cornelio Ixaka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Banfield CBA and the Talapampa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dór Midas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Sesuldo having to interfere. If Paulino Panpili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
