Cipriano Mateo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute Nicolas Gelmiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Sesuldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Roque Illan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roque Illan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Sesuldo having to interfere. Saverio Sesuldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolas Gelmiro went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Roque Illan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Saverio Sesuldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Corbett's Leon Estebano got a free kick in the 30th minute. Cipriano Mateo made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Felix Ladio sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th match minute, Corbett was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Estebano to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute Nicolas Gelmiro collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. 46 minutes into the game, Tomas Guillen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Banfield CBA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corbett the free kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roque Illan was the one to do the kick off. Roque Illan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Saverio Sesuldo made a huge save. Haroldo Serapio was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Corbett booed when Banfield CBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Serapio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Emilio Chesus took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Saverio Sesuldo to make any attempt to save it. Cipriano Mateo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Evarado in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th minute Cristobal Toli suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Cipriano Mateo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Evarado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Chesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Sesuldo having to interfere. A collision led to Corbett getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Alejo Bertol hit a great ball. Saverio Sesuldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Chesus in the 92nd minute of the match. Saverio Sesuldo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Corbett had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
