Marcelino Herena was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Claypole's zone, Amadeo Ixona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Herena came out of the goal and Amadeo Ixona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claypole's Marcelino Herena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Dino in the 8th minute of play. Victoriano Loreto scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelino Herena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcelino Herena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Loreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mercedes FC's Justo Raymon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Mercedes FC from getting a goal against them. Eusebio Gizon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Justo Raymon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelino Herena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Gilabert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Victoriano Loreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Gizon hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Jeremias Gilabert scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelino Herena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeremias Gilabert to make the kick off. Claypole's Marcelino Herena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Dino in the 55th minute of play. Marcelino Herena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Gilabert in the 65th minute of play. Marcelino Herena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Ixona, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute, Jeremias Gilabert made a precise shot to the right of Marcelino Herena. Claypole's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 77 minutes into the match, Jeremias Gilabert notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Claypole's Marcelino Herena. Marcelino Herena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Americo Araoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Angel Tonio fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mercedes FC's protests and gave Angel Tonio a yellow card for diving instead. Angel Tonio hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Claypole got a freekick which was hit by Øivind Pettersen. Amadeo Ixona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Marcelino Herena made a huge save. Claypole's Marcelino Herena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Gilabert in the 97th minute of play. Mercedes FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
