The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bartolo Nel was the one to do the kick off. Rodriguez's Ezequiel Reynardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Rodriguez from getting a goal against them. 53 minutes into the match, Rodriguez's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Nel came free, but Ezequiel Reynardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Caradaro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Vicente Caradaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haedo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Caradaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bartolo Nel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bartolo Nel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ezequiel Reynardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haedo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Caradaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Reynardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
