Mercedes FC's Justo Raymon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Telo in the 9th minute of play. In the 14th minute of the match, Amadeo Ixona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saverio Bladi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Gilabert in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saverio Bladi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Avellaneda's Eustaquio Quirze got a free kick in the 16th minute. The supporters of Avellaneda booed when Mercedes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Guillem didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Avellaneda's goalkeeper Saverio Bladi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victoriano Loreto. Saverio Bladi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Gilabert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Avellaneda getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Anacleto Fiz hit a great ball. Saverio Bladi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Ixona, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victoriano Loreto got free with Saverio Bladi in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Saverio Bladi made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Victoriano Loreto sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the match, Amadeo Ixona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Saverio Bladi, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Telo to make the kick off. Saverio Bladi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 71st minute Amadeo Ixona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Bladi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Guillem in the 72nd minute of play forced Avellaneda's goalkeeper Saverio Bladi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Victoriano Loreto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Jeremias Gilabert scored 8-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saverio Bladi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute, Amadeo Ixona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mercedes FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0.
