SAMCRO's Guaberto Montae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Mederi in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute Adolfo Mederi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Montae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Adolfo Mederi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guaberto Montae. SAMCRO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adolfo Mederi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The attack was good, but when Omar Ostots in the 21st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Lex Staarman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Amadeo Barea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Federico Oihan during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Guaberto Montae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilo Urdaspal in the 32nd minute of the match. After 38 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Urdaspal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Mederi during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Adolfo Mederi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Oscar Porfirio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half River Plate were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lex Staarman to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Teofilo Urdaspal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guaberto Montae. Teofilo Urdaspal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Lex Staarman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeo Barea came out of the goal and Lex Staarman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute, Venancio Edur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeo Barea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. If Teofilo Urdaspal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 71 in the game by Samuel Gonzalez from a close distance when the talented Guaberto Montae managed to make a qualified save. SAMCRO's players were relieved. 79 minutes into the match, Omar Ostots had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guaberto Montae. SAMCRO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Omar Ostots was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. With a little luck, SAMCRO's Guaberto Montae got control of the ball when Maximo Indar tried to sneak it across the goal line. River Plate played a much better game than SAMCRO and deserved their victory. The SAMCRO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
