Spectators: 6822 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 145) Gonzalo Fonso started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. PeñaroL's Arturo Estefan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Osvaldo Etxepare in the 3 minute of the game. Argentino de Quilmes's Lisandro Ovando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Maju in the 8th minute of play. If Santo Gilesindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arturo Estefan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Lisandro Ovando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Nestor Corderro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vagner Lieber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vagner Lieber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Valiente in the 16th minute of play. PeñaroL's Vagner Lieber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Fonso in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Argentino de Quilmes's zone, Tiburcio Maju stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lisandro Ovando came out of the goal and Tiburcio Maju tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Argentino de Quilmes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Tiburcio Maju scored to the left of an out of position Lisandro Ovando, making the score, 2-0. Arturo Estefan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiburcio Maju blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lisandro Ovando having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Domingos Cai managed to get in a good position for a shot. PeñaroL's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Cai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lisandro Ovando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Tiburcio Maju's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lisandro Ovando was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. PeñaroL's Arturo Estefan got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Argentino de Quilmes's Lisandro Ovando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Argentino de Quilmes from getting a goal against them. Argentino de Quilmes's Lisandro Ovando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Maju in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Tiburcio Maju made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of PeñaroL booed when Argentino de Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Beila didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Tiburcio Maju's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lisandro Ovando was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Tiburcio Maju fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Ovando having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Argentino de Quilmes's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Cai came free, but Lisandro Ovando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiburcio Maju in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lisandro Ovando saved Argentino de Quilmes from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Arturo Estefan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiburcio Maju's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lisandro Ovando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Arturo Estefan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lisandro Ovando having to make a save. If Tiburcio Maju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. PeñaroL fully deserved thier win.
