Timoteo Columbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiburcio Maju in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timoteo Columbo saved Aguaribay from getting behind. After 14 played minutes Aguaribay got a freekick which was hit by Santos Gaizko. Santo Gilesindo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The PeñaroL fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when PeñaroL's Tiburcio Maju looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Lino Endura fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PeñaroL's protests and gave Lino Endura a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Aguaribay booed when PeñaroL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Endura didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes, Domingos Fero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PeñaroL and the Aguaribay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Domingos Fero kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Santos Gaizko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vagner Lieber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Esteve Romildo made a precise shot to the right of Timoteo Columbo. Aguaribay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 37 minutes of play, PeñaroL's Tiburcio Maju made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Timoteo Columbo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st match minute, Aguaribay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Pirro to maneuver through the defense. When Tiburcio Maju came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the PeñaroL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiburcio Maju couldn't finish the play. Domingos Fero got his second yellow card in the match during the 46th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 47 played minutes PeñaroL got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Fero. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santos Gaizko made a kick off. Domingos Cai might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timoteo Columbo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domingos Cai ran back to his position shaking his head. Timoteo Columbo was a little too slow when Esteve Romildo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-4. Domingos Cai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Romildo in the 60th minute of play forced Aguaribay's goalkeeper Timoteo Columbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, PeñaroL's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Gaizko came free, but Vagner Lieber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiburcio Ibon kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Domingos Cai scored 0-5 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Timoteo Columbo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Domingos Cai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Aguaribay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PeñaroL the free kick. Tiburcio Ibon kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Domingos Cai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Timoteo Columbo made a huge save. Esteve Romildo struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Timoteo Columbo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PeñaroL. In the 83rd match minute, PeñaroL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Endura to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th match minute, Aguaribay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Gaizko to maneuver through the defense. Esteve Romildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Aguaribay's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Romildo came free, but Timoteo Columbo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Gaizko in the 93rd minute of play forced PeñaroL's goalkeeper Vagner Lieber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Aguaribay fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. PeñaroL were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
