Marciano Aurken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Elvio Firme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Orlondo in the 19th minute of play forced Oliva's goalkeeper Clodoveo Etxekopar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elvio Firme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Argina in the 22nd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Freddy Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oliva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave General Roca the free kick. After 25 played minutes Oliva got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Batista. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilario Guilabertus in the 27th minute of play forced Oliva's goalkeeper Clodoveo Etxekopar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clodoveo Etxekopar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Orlondo in the 29th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in General Roca's zone, Marciano Aurken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elvio Firme came out of the goal and Marciano Aurken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute Nereo Argina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Firme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Gerardo Quinten almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but General Roca's Elvio Firme did a great save. Clodoveo Etxekopar made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate sent off a good shot on target. Nereo Argina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elvio Firme having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Nereo Argina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oliva's supporters rose to their feet, but Nereo Argina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elvio Firme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gualterio Raymundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marciano Aurken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Firme having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate in the 54th minute of play forced Oliva's goalkeeper Clodoveo Etxekopar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Marciano Aurken had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elvio Firme. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Abadia in the 68th minute of play forced Oliva's goalkeeper Clodoveo Etxekopar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascual Oton's late challenge caught a General Roca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascual Oton helped the player get up and apologised. Pascual Oton hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. When Marciano Aurken came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Oliva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marciano Aurken couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, General Roca's Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate got a free kick in the 95th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. General Roca were victorious despite being under pressure from Oliva for much of the match.
