In the 27th minute Atilano Lugo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Maradona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Antiguyo FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Voboril FC:s goal. After 43 played minutes Voboril FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Raphael. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Rius in the 46th minute of play forced Voboril FC's goalkeeper Jeronimo Lugo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Lauro do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antiguyo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lauro do Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 64 minutes of play, Antiguyo FC's Antonio Chaime made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
