After a defensive mix-up in La Paternal AFC's zone, Desiderio Luar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Erlantz came out of the goal and Desiderio Luar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celso Erlantz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Walme during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Severino Walme kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Hugo Felipo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Celso Erlantz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Fernandes in the 39th minute of the match. When Ermegildo Colas fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Paternal AFC's protests and gave Ermegildo Colas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to La Paternal AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ermegildo Colas hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute Desiderio Luar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Erlantz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Erlantz having to interfere. Desiderio Luar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Celso Erlantz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Desiderio Luar was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Desiderio Luar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Celso Erlantz. The goal made the score 1-3. Celso Erlantz was a little too slow when Desiderio Luar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 1-4. Ernesto Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Celso Erlantz made a huge save. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Paternal AFC's goalkeeper Celso Erlantz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Ernesto Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Invisibles's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Erlantz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ermegildo Colas was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Celso Erlantz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Desiderio Luar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 79 minute of play. Desiderio Luar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Erlantz having to interfere. With a little luck, La Paternal AFC's Celso Erlantz got control of the ball when Ernesto Fernandes tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ernesto Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
