Celso Erlantz came out of the goal and Humberto-Dionisio Maschio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Federico Venceslas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dr Favaloro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Federico Venceslas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Humberto-Dionisio Maschio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Erlantz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Roano got a throw-in 45 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Nicanor Savion. If Cayetano Iratzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 47 minutes into the game, Nicanor Savion was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Paternal AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dr Favaloro the free kick. In the 48th match minute, La Paternal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Savion to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Felipo made a kick off. Narciso Demesio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Humberto-Dionisio Maschio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celso Erlantz having to make a save. Humberto-Dionisio Maschio scored 0-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celso Erlantz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celso Erlantz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto-Dionisio Maschio in the 85th minute of play. Humberto-Dionisio Maschio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Celso Erlantz made a huge save. Humberto-Dionisio Maschio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Erlantz having to interfere. A hard shot 97 in the game by Humberto-Dionisio Maschio from a close distance when the talented Celso Erlantz managed to make a qualified save. La Paternal AFC's players were relieved. The La Paternal AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dr Favaloro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
