When Ovidio Cambranes fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Profundidad's protests and gave Ovidio Cambranes a yellow card for diving instead. Ovidio Cambranes kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 23 minutes of play, Gavilan's Eleuterio Benet made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonel Chinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hector Bittor hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Benjamin Hever kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When Eleuterio Benet came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Gavilan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleuterio Benet couldn't finish the play. Casimiro Ekialde made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Donato Musko sent off a good shot on target. Eleuterio Benet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Leonel Chinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Gavilan got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Hever. Casimiro Ekialde made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Donato Musko sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Nereo Oxel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Ekialde having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Profundidad's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eleuterio Benet fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Efraim in the 63rd minute of play forced Gavilan's goalkeeper Casimiro Ekialde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Gavilan's goal looked a bit too open when Nereo Oxel came free, but Casimiro Ekialde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Musko in the 67th minute of play forced Gavilan's goalkeeper Casimiro Ekialde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casimiro Ekialde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donato Musko went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Casimiro Ekialde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Oxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Lop kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Profundidad's Nereo Oxel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casimiro Ekialde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Casimiro Ekialde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Musko in the 91st minute of play. A collision led to Gavilan getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Hilario Gaizkine hit a great ball. Profundidad's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
