The referee ignored Larrea's protests and gave Jeronimo Artaldo a yellow card for diving instead. Eulalio Dalmau's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Enrique Lano on his right side and into the goal. 12 minutes into the game it was 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Larrea's zone, Leopoldo Lertxun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Lano came out of the goal and Leopoldo Lertxun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Larrea's Enrique Lano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Lertxun in the 30th minute of play. Jonathan Azibar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Incendio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo Lertxun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Silvio Goito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Larrea's Enrique Lano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Larrea from getting a goal against them. When Silvio Goito came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Larrea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvio Goito couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Patoruzu FC's Saverio Procopio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrique Lano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Larrea's Enrique Lano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Procopio in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Patoruzu FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
