Potrero Futbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Club the free kick. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Potrero Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Suarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Primeiro's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Potrero Futbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. If Enrique Suero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquilino Benet was a little too slow when Enrique Suero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 5-0. Enrique Suero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquilino Benet didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 42nd minute, which inside left pole to 6-0. Aquilino Benet was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enrique Suero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 7-0 in the 46 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ildefonso Lekubegi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Enrique Suero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Benet having to interfere. 55 minutes in the game, Leo Panfilo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Domingo Veremundo having to interfere. Ricardo Primeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Benet having to interfere. Enrique Suero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Aquilino Benet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquilino Benet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aquilino Benet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Urdaspal, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Enrique Suero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Suero struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Aquilino Benet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Potrero Futbol Club.
