Delmiro Gartzen made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Aaron Ritchie sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the match, Leon Lopes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnulfo Txema. Atlético Mermoz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leon Lopes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Tejas AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Felix Orte scored to the left of an out of position Delmiro Gartzen, making the score, 1-1. Felix Orte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delmiro Gartzen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Delmiro Gartzen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Orte, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Hernan Hermon hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Orte in the 33rd minute of play forced Tejas AFC's goalkeeper Delmiro Gartzen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Aaron Ritchie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delmiro Gartzen was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Atlético Mermoz fully deserved thier win.
