The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Madagascar's Adan Hats got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Pérez in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Necip Veziroğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 7th minute Pablo Kauldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Guillen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cirilo Guillen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Ubendu in the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Pablo Kauldi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cirilo Guillen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Pablo Kauldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cirilo Guillen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Israel Bonifaco went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the match, Madagascar's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Ubendu came free, but Cirilo Guillen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Pablo Kauldi notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Madagascar's Cirilo Guillen. Cirilo Guillen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Milton Pérez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Necip Veziroğlu made a huge save. In the 27th minute Ceferino Ubendu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Guillen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Madagascar's Cirilo Guillen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Kauldi in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Madagascar defense, Ceferino Ubendu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cirilo Guillen. The Madagascar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cirilo Guillen should have stopped the shot. 37 minutes into the game, Ceferino Ubendu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Cirilo Guillen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 40 minutes into the game, Sergio Javiero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nirihau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Madagascar the free kick. In the 40th minute, Sergio Javiero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Necip Veziroğlu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 41st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Adan Hats. A collision led to Nirihau getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Rafael Columbo hit a great ball. Madagascar's Adan Hats shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Necip Veziroğlu but with some difficulty. After a defensive mix-up in Madagascar's zone, Pablo Kauldi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cirilo Guillen came out of the goal and Pablo Kauldi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pablo Kauldi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cirilo Guillen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Kauldi in the 51st minute. Madagascar's Cirilo Guillen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Madagascar from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the match, Madagascar's goalkeeper Cirilo Guillen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pablo Kauldi. Necip Veziroğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Pérez, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milton Pérez in the 67th minute of play forced Nirihau's goalkeeper Necip Veziroğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonardo Pérez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Necip Veziroğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Necip Veziroğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton Pérez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Leonardo Pérez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necip Veziroğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Madagascar's Cirilo Guillen got control of the ball when Ceferino Ubendu tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Jurgi in the 89th minute of play forced Madagascar's goalkeeper Cirilo Guillen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Necip Veziroğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Pérez, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
