But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Gipson couldn't finish the play. After the first half Jorgelín Negro were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Odol Spöerer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes Jorgelín Negro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Beila who took care of the corner kick. Angelo Fiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sergio Gipson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 minutes of play Medrano AFC's Feliciano Gurutz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes into the match, Jorgelín Negro's Raul Nel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivo Doykov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Medrano AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Gipson came free, but Ivo Doykov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Sergio Gipson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jorgelín Negro's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergio Gipson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivo Doykov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, Angelo Fiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Medrano AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jorgelín Negro the free kick. A collision led to Medrano AFC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Angelo Fiz hit a great ball. Ivo Doykov was a little too slow when Raul Nel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 98th minute. The score was now 0-2.
