Eduardo Raitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Jurgi, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Pablo Kauldi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Palmira AFC's Eduardo Raitin. Eduardo Raitin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute, Ceferino Ubendu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Palmira AFC's Aaron Basualdo in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nirihau's goalie prevented a goal. Astor Bibiano hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Javiero in the 17th minute of play forced Palmira AFC's goalkeeper Eduardo Raitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Palmira AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Jurgi came free, but Eduardo Raitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nirihau's Cirilo Sauveur got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Jeremias Bihar came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Palmira AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremias Bihar couldn't finish the play. Arnoldo Celipe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Necip Veziroğlu having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremias Bihar in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Necip Veziroğlu saved Nirihau from getting behind. Aaron Basualdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jeremias Bihar came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Palmira AFC fans jumped to their feet. Nirihau's Necip Veziroğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Celipe in the 33rd minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Nirihau's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Basualdo came free, but Necip Veziroğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Jeremias Bihar put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Necip Veziroğlu. Jeremias Bihar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Necip Veziroğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeremias Bihar to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Jeremias Bihar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necip Veziroğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venancio Ruisko charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Venancio Ruisko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Palmira AFC got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Ruisko. Palmira AFC were furious when Abel Silbestre was red carded, 60 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palmira AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, Nirihau's Sergio Javiero got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eduardo Raitin. Necip Veziroğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Basualdo in the 71st minute of the match. Rafael Columbo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Palmira AFC got a freekick which was hit by Astor Bibiano. Arnoldo Celipe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Necip Veziroğlu having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Nirihau's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Basualdo came free, but Necip Veziroğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Necip Veziroğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Basualdo in the 84th minute of play. Eduardo Raitin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Kauldi in the 86th minute. Venancio Ruisko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Necip Veziroğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Aaron Basualdo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Necip Veziroğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute Tadeo Jurgi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Raitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Tadeo Jurgi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eduardo Raitin. Tadeo Jurgi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Chants of Nirihau echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Palmira AFC had held the ball for most of the match.
