No goal. 11 minutes into the match, Paulo Segio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucio Txema. Alumni Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Segio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Luciano Inguma hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute Ivan Paz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Txema saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Paz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Txema having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Alumni Fc's Gilberto Olando got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Venancio Maureo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucio Txema skillfully saved the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Espadas De Luz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Illan to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Abelardo Loreto in the 34th minute really tested Claudio Guzman's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Lucio Txema showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Paz, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Espadas De Luz FC's goalkeeper Claudio Guzman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Gonzo. After having played for 41 minutes, Ivan Paz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espadas De Luz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Paz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nereo Naelio struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Claudio Guzman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alumni Fc. In the 45th minute Silvano Telesforo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Txema saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Alumni Fc players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Espadas De Luz FC were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Gonzo to make the kick off. Lucio Txema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Telesforo in the 56th minute of the match. If Vicente Gonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute, Abelardo Loreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudio Guzman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Gonzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Gonzo might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudio Guzman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vicente Gonzo ran back to his position shaking his head. Claudio Guzman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Gonzo in the 87th minute of play. Alumni Fc's Lucio Txema proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Alumni Fc from getting a goal against them. Luciano Inguma kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Espadas De Luz FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
