Matias Eguen hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Piratas CBA's goalkeeper Reynaldo Nicholas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonides Monico. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonides Monico got free with Reynaldo Nicholas in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeo Omero to make the kick off. Matias Eguen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal.
