Spectators: 6604 (Terracing: 5574, Seating: 1030, VIP seats: 0) Frente Para la Victoria's Raul Quintyn started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Raul Quintyn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Vasconcelos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Patricio Vistruario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Santo Lluc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Edgardo Bryant notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Frente Para la Victoria's Santo Lluc. Santo Lluc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 12 minutes into the game, Artie Isaac recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Júlio Vasconcelos. Artie Isaac showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Vistruario in the 15th minute of play forced Frente Para la Victoria's goalkeeper Santo Lluc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Quintyn's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Júlio Vasconcelos firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 20 played minutes Frente Para la Victoria got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Pasculli. Edgardo Bryant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Lluc having to interfere. Frente Para la Victoria were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Club Atletico River Plate's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. But to his dismay, Patricio Vistruario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Júlio Vasconcelos made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Raul Quintyn sent off a good shot on target. After 37 played minutes Frente Para la Victoria got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Hernandez. Edgardo Bryant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Santo Lluc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Confesor in the 47th minute of play forced Frente Para la Victoria's goalkeeper Santo Lluc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Raul Quintyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Fidel Sugar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Santo Lluc. That made the score 2-4 in the 80 minute of play. Frente Para la Victoria's Santo Lluc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Bryant in the 87th minute of play. Club Atletico River Plate's Baldomiro Honesto was substituted for Patricio Vistruario. If Fernandinho Gago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Club Atletico River Plate eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
