With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jairo Clodio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teofilo Bernebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Clodio having to interfere. Despite this Jairo Clodio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Gaston Elizardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. In the 60th minute, Teofilo Bernebe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jairo Clodio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaston Elizardo's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Gaston Elizardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jairo Clodio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Igarzábal AFC's zone, Gaston Elizardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Clodio came out of the goal and Gaston Elizardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teofilo Bernebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Clodio having to interfere. Jairo Clodio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaston Elizardo's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Igarzábal AFC's goalkeeper Jairo Clodio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Elizardo. Petroquimica played a much better game than Igarzábal AFC and deserved their victory. The Igarzábal AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
