Manuel Mikelar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Fidel Leocadio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ambrosio Socorro was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. The Quilmes Atlético Club fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Quilmes Atlético Club's Fidel Leocadio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 25th minute, Benjamin Roldan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, J.J. Urquiza's Daniel Tadzio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Esteve Laurendi could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Gavino Cordarryl however easily saved by the left post. Ambrosio Socorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Leocadio, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Enrique Abalos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Mikelar to strike the kick off in the second half. Enrique Abalos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ambrosio Socorro having to make a save. In the 59th minute, Fidel Leocadio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jesus Distiratsu during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Quilmes Atlético Club booed when J.J. Urquiza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Distiratsu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Fidel Leocadio made a precise shot to the right of Ambrosio Socorro. J.J. Urquiza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 69 minutes of play, Quilmes Atlético Club's Jonatan Tebaldo made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ambrosio Socorro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Quilmes Atlético Club's Gavino Cordarryl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Saturnin in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in J.J. Urquiza's zone, Enrique Abalos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrosio Socorro came out of the goal and Enrique Abalos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. J.J. Urquiza's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Enrique Abalos scored to the left of an out of position Ambrosio Socorro, making the score, 1-4. Gavino Cordarryl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Mikelar in the 89th minute of the match. J.J. Urquiza were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Quilmes Atlético Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Tadzio took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Iker Matro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When Fidel Ubarna fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quilmes Atlético Club's protests and gave Fidel Ubarna a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Quilmes Atlético Club defense, Esteve Laurendi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavino Cordarryl. The Quilmes Atlético Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Cordarryl should have stopped the shot.
