Jurand Sala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Macerio in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Efrain Rexino made a kick off. Leonides Ieltxu hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Jesus Quintana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Tomás Dolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia de Mendoza's 秦霆松 got a free kick in the 64th minute. After having played for 66 minutes, Jesus Quintana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia de Mendoza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesus Quintana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th match minute, El Carmencito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Macerio to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to El Carmencito getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Amadeo Macerio hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Salamon during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia de Mendoza's Cristian Salamon got a free kick in the 77th minute. Jesus Quintana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nunez Javiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Efrain Rexino came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the El Carmencito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efrain Rexino couldn't finish the play. Nunez Javiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gimnasia de Mendoza's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Efrain Rexino scored to the left of an out of position Jurand Sala, making the score, 2-2.
