After a defensive mix-up in Pecta Gama's zone, Edelmiro Obeko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascual Salvatore came out of the goal and Edelmiro Obeko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Contra Viento y Marea's Edelmiro Obeko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pascual Salvatore narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Konstanty Mruk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pecta Gama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Contra Viento y Marea the free kick. After 14 played minutes Pecta Gama got a freekick which was hit by Konstanty Mruk. Gogo Roldan kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Pascual Salvatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Guillelmus in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Pecta Gama's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Lon came free, but Pascual Salvatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Gogo Roldan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Peio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gogo Roldan sped through Contra Viento y Marea's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abelardo Peio. After having played for 31 minutes, Edelmiro Obeko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Contra Viento y Marea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edelmiro Obeko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abelardo Peio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Roldan in the 35th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Contra Viento y Marea's Godfredo Iratxo got a free kick in the 35th minute. The supporters of Contra Viento y Marea booed when Pecta Gama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Min didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edelmiro Obeko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Pascual Salvatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lisandro Guillelmus was the one to do the kick off. Contra Viento y Marea's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edelmiro Obeko in the 53rd minute. 57 minutes into the match, Contra Viento y Marea's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Roldan came free, but Abelardo Peio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lisandro Guillelmus kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Guillelmus in the 60th minute of play forced Pecta Gama's goalkeeper Pascual Salvatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gogo Roldan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Contra Viento y Marea's Abelardo Peio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Roldan in the 75th minute of play. Gogo Roldan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Abelardo Peio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gogo Roldan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Pecta Gama getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Francisco Garcia hit a great ball.
