If Lázaro Castulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everardo Sayveon's late challenge caught a Boedo Argentina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Everardo Sayveon helped the player get up and apologised. 16 minutes into the game, Lázaro Castulo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boedo Argentina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Hormiga Armada the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Eliseo Modestio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boedo Argentina's Lázaro Castulo got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseo Modestio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Erasmo Arotza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erasmo Arotza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Castulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Deportivo Hormiga Armada's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Modestio came free, but Erasmo Arotza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lázaro Castulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Arotza having to interfere. Erasmo Arotza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Castulo in the 43rd minute of play. Eliseo Modestio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Edgard Orzaize fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Arotza having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Lázaro Castulo made a precise shot to the right of Erasmo Arotza. Deportivo Hormiga Armada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 64th minute Lázaro Castulo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Arotza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erasmo Arotza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Modestio, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Deportivo Hormiga Armada's Erasmo Arotza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Herrera in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Lázaro Castulo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Castulo in the 74th minute of play forced Deportivo Hormiga Armada's goalkeeper Erasmo Arotza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Edgard Orzaize came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Boedo Argentina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Orzaize couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Everardo Sayveon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Boedo Argentina's zone, Everardo Sayveon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Errando came out of the goal and Everardo Sayveon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lázaro Castulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Arotza having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Eliseo Modestio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erasmo Arotza was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Boedo Argentina's Matias Errando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Gergori in the 92nd minute of play. Boedo Argentina's Matias Errando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Boedo Argentina from getting a goal against them. When the referee ended the match the Boedo Argentina players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
