Nestor Reynardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Marcelino Jaunzuria made a huge save. A hard shot 9 in the game by Nestor Reynardo from a close distance when the talented Marcelino Jaunzuria managed to make a qualified save. Mogigasta AFC's players were relieved. The supporters of Mogigasta AFC booed when Guañizul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Gilesindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mogigasta AFC's Tiburcio Oriche got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teobaldo Aguirre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Sasoin in the 15th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes Guañizul got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Navarro. Marcelino Jaunzuria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Tolino in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Guañizul's Sixto Bautista got a free kick in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Oriche in the 23rd minute of play forced Guañizul's goalkeeper Teobaldo Aguirre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Tiburcio Oriche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guañizul's Teobaldo Aguirre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nestor Reynardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Marcelino Jaunzuria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Mogigasta AFC's Constantino Elazar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teobaldo Aguirre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Nestor Reynardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nestor Reynardo struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Marcelino Jaunzuria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guañizul. Guañizul's Teobaldo Aguirre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Sasoin in the 46th minute of play. Nicasio Basualdo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiburcio Oriche to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Tolino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Nestor Reynardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Guañizul fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Guañizul's Pedro Tolino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 72 minutes into the match, Guañizul's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Elazar came free, but Teobaldo Aguirre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiburcio Oriche in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teobaldo Aguirre saved Guañizul from getting behind. Nestor Reynardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Marcelino Jaunzuria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teobaldo Aguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Sasoin, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. If Nestor Reynardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Mogigasta AFC defense, Pedro Tolino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelino Jaunzuria. The Mogigasta AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelino Jaunzuria should have stopped the shot. Marcelino Jaunzuria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Gaitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Rigoberto Gilesindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Jaunzuria having to interfere. Guañizul were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mogigasta AFC for a fine match.
