Spectators: 7143 (Terracing: 5300, Seating: 1696, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nestor Reynardo started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Sixto Bautista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guañizul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EmiFC the free kick. Sixto Bautista hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Jimeno Donostia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teobaldo Aguirre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Guañizul's Paulino Amor threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ciriaco Navarro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Tolino in the 11th minute of play forced EmiFC's goalkeeper Paulino Amor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciriaco Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Paulino Amor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciriaco Navarro struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Paulino Amor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guañizul. 14 minutes into the match, EmiFC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Tolino came free, but Paulino Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Reynardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Reynardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulino Amor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nestor Reynardo ran back to his position shaking his head. EmiFC's Paulino Amor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save EmiFC from getting a goal against them. Norberto Hori recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guañizul's Ciriaco Navarro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alberto Tarantini, made in the 39th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Tolino in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulino Amor saved EmiFC from getting behind. In the 45th minute, Nestor Reynardo made a precise shot to the right of Paulino Amor. EmiFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norberto Hori to make the kick off. With a little luck, Guañizul's Teobaldo Aguirre got control of the ball when Norberto Hori tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 63 played minutes EmiFC got a freekick which was hit by Derwin Correa. In the 71st minute, Jimeno Vitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Pedro Tolino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Christobal during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Guañizul got a freekick which was hit by Severino Christobal. After a rather tough play, Guañizul's Ciriaco Navarro got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Nestor Reynardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciriaco Navarro charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciriaco Navarro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ciriaco Navarro hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. EmiFC's Paulino Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Tolino in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Guañizul had played much better football throughout.
