In the 37th minute Mauro Luzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Byrrisen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Ruben Beti sped through Deportivo Glenn Hughes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Conrado Marques. If Bone Less had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Luzea to make the kick off. Filomeno Salvatore charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Shankar FC's Cristian Byrrisen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Cerilo in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Deportivo Glenn Hughes's goalkeeper Conrado Marques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bone Less. Conrado Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Beti, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Glenn Hughes's Bartolo Cerilo got a free kick in the 68th minute. Shankar FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
