Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Gabriel Ekain successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Winning Eleven's Saturnino Cresencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Flor in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Rigoberto Galoer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SarmientoFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Galoer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Timoteo Flor might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saturnino Cresencio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 35th minute Gervasio Raphael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ekain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes Winning Eleven got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Galindo. Gabriel Ekain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Raphael, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute, Natalio Sabin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Saturnino Cresencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Galoer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in SarmientoFC's zone, Gervasio Raphael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Ekain came out of the goal and Gervasio Raphael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saturnino Cresencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorato Lucero kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Winning Eleven booed when SarmientoFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Galoer didn't get a good kick on the ball.
