Israel Daunte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Galoer, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Jacobo Ipar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gabriel Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SarmientoFC's zone, Armando Mannuel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Ekain came out of the goal and Armando Mannuel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd match minute, SarmientoFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Sotil to maneuver through the defense. Efrain Hartz hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. SarmientoFC's Rigoberto Galoer got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Flor got free with Israel Daunte in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Jacobo Ipar came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Chiriguanos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacobo Ipar couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rigoberto Galoer got free with Israel Daunte in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chiriguanos's Jacobo Ipar got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rigoberto Galoer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Daunte having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Chiriguanos's Armando Mannuel got a free kick in the 38th minute. Jacobo Ipar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Galoer lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Israel Daunte. In the 46th minute, Astor Erramun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The wind increased when Armando Mannuel made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Chiriguanos's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Flor came free, but Israel Daunte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jacobo Ipar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Armando Mannuel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gabriel Ekain, 1-1. Pedro Dominguez kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Gabriel Ekain made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Jacobo Ipar sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Franco during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Mario Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SarmientoFC's Laureano Fagildo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Chiriguanos. When Pedro Dominguez was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. The supporters of SarmientoFC booed when Chiriguanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. SarmientoFC's Timoteo Flor got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Uriel Evis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Ekain was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Timoteo Flor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Daunte having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Chiriguanos got a freekick which was hit by Nicasio Rey. Anibal Evangelista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Juan Beturian fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chiriguanos's protests and gave Juan Beturian a yellow card for diving instead. 97 minutes into the game, SarmientoFC's Timoteo Flor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Israel Daunte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
