In the 9th minute Cecilio Quilino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einar Tham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Jimeno Leguizamón took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Leon Pinto to make any attempt to save it. 19 minutes into the match, Amuschina AFC's Patricio Ixona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Einar Tham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Egoi charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Egoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Amuschina AFC booed when Chacabuco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Egoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th match minute, Amuschina AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florencio Domenec to maneuver through the defense. Jimeno Leguizamón's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leon Pinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Chacabuco FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Rodolfo Gartzea hit a great ball. Leon Pinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jimeno Leguizamón's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute Luis Egoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Christian Erroman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimeno Leguizamón got free with Leon Pinto in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd match minute, Chacabuco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Madeo to maneuver through the defense. Cecilio Quilino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Einar Tham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jimeno Leguizamón stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Chacabuco FC's Apolo Ireno got a free kick in the 56th minute. Leon Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Leguizamón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Leguizamón in the 64th minute of play forced Amuschina AFC's goalkeeper Leon Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chacabuco FC's Einar Tham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Chacabuco FC from getting a goal against them. Iker Bordat kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. When Robustiano Fernandez fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chacabuco FC's protests and gave Robustiano Fernandez a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Chacabuco FC got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Fernandez. In the 77thth minute of the game Jimeno Leguizamón who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amuschina AFC's Leon Pinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Leguizamón in the 80th minute of play forced Amuschina AFC's goalkeeper Leon Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The coaching staff of Amuschina AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Uriel Duarte had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Chacabuco FC a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Apolo Ireno, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Amuschina AFC's Leon Pinto. 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chacabuco FC had won after a very even match.
