The supporters of Laferrere FC booed when Eldorado FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Miro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Lucas Chico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Berenguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Herena struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Cleto Orlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eldorado FC. In the 21st minute, Eriberto Venceslas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laferrere FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 24th minute, Eldorado FC's Epifanio Refugio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cleto Orlin. Cleto Orlin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Gilberto Tolino's late challenge caught a Laferrere FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Tolino helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Eldorado FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gilberto Tolino hit a great ball. Ciro Berenguer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rene Iratxo went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Ciro Berenguer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Olando in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Iratxo in the 38th minute of play forced Eldorado FC's goalkeeper Ciro Berenguer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Epifanio Refugio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Lorenzo Miro came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Eldorado FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Miro couldn't finish the play. Feliciano Ekialde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Miro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleto Orlin having to interfere. Epifanio Refugio kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 75 played minutes Eldorado FC got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Miro. During the 81st minute of the match Lorenzo Miro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lorenzo Miro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
